Proviridis and Kempower Revolutionize Electric Truck Charging with Underground Solution

Innovative Partnership:French energy infrastructure expert Proviridis and Finnish charging station manufacturer Kempower have joined forces to develop a groundbreaking underground electric truck charging solution. This new system addresses the challenge of integrating charging points into existing depots without compromising space.
Space-Saving Technology:Designed to overcome space limitations, the underground charging solution hides the control unit and charging cable in a shaft between parking spaces. This innovative approach avoids the need for overhead charging points, which can be obstructive and costly. The system has been successfully tested at Proviridis' site in Saint Quentin Fallavier.
Advantages and Flexibility:Kempower's underground solution offers protection against damage and is cost-effective compared to traditional overhead gantry systems. It can power up to eight chargers, with a mix of underground and above-ground units possible. The system is also adaptable for use in bus depots.
Sustainability and Business Continuity:Cédric Moret, Kempower’s Head of Sales for France, emphasizes the importance of sustainable operations without sacrificing business efficiency. The new underground solution preserves parking capacity and normal depot functioning, a common issue with traditional charging infrastructure installations.
Durability and Customization:Olivier Verdu, Proviridis' Technical Director, highlights the product's durability across various temperatures and conditions, minimal ventilation needs, and ability to meet diverse customer requirements. These features make Kempower's underground charging solution ideal for logistics environments.
This collaboration between Proviridis and Kempower marks a significant step forward in the evolution of electric vehicle charging infrastructure, offering a sustainable and space-efficient solution for the logistics industry.
